Walking & Cycling
Our location on the edge of the Thames Embankment and the national cycle route network makes walking and cycling to Petersham Nurseries safe, easy and enjoyable for adults and children.

The map below highlights the footpath which runs between Richmond town centre and Petersham Nurseries. This is an incredibly pleasant walk along the Thames and through Petersham Meadow. The map also notes the cycle route from Richmond to Petersham Nurseries.

When planning a walking route we have found the website Walk-it to be incredibly helpful. For example - for directions walking from Richmond Station to Petersham Nurseries click here. Our only amendment to Walk-it`s recommended route would be to cut across Petersham Meadow instead of following the towpath until River Lane. The little path which crosses the meadow diagonally takes you directly to the corner of Church Lane, on which we are situated. See map below.

There are wonderful cycle routes that run from Kingston, Teddington and Richmond. Maps can be obtained from the homepage of Sustrans. Under “Search our mapping” simply type in the postcode (TW10 7AG) and hit “Find”. The map can then be printed. We additionally have bicycle racks located just inside the front gates to Petersham Nurseries.
